Tesla Motors is an electric car builder from Northern California. Their mission is to be the next big player in the auto industry. For now they're focused on shedding the image of the sluggish, gutless, electric cars/hybrids that are on the market today.
These bad boys move like grease lightning with a top speed of 125 mph (electronically limited meaning just get ol' Frank The Tank to remove the restrictor plate and you'll unleash the full potential) and 0 - 60 mph in just 4 secs.
Another common concern regarding electric cars is there limited range and slow charge time. Well Tesla sorted that out as well. On a single charge you can travel 220 miles and to recharge the lithium-ion battery, that shoots you from point A - B, it takes about 3.5 hrs. However if you're running late and need a quick charge, you can achieve a 75% charge in only 45 min.
